Mareal is a dynamic engineering firm specializing in high-technology offshore projects. Based in L’Haÿ-les-Roses (94240), our team of around twenty includes both engineers and drafting specialists.

We are part of the STAPEM Group and work with major French and international companies. Our core expertise lies in structural studies for the offshore oil & gas industry and the growing marine renewable energy sector.

As we continue to expand our activities, we are looking for a Drafting Apprentice in structural or civil engineering for the upcoming academic year.

Position Overview

As a Drafting Apprentice, you will support the engineering team in the creation and development of technical drawings and models for offshore structures. This role offers hands-on experience in a highly technical field, within a collaborative and forward-thinking environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Create 3D models using computer-aided design technologies
• Assist with conceptual studies in coordination with engineers
• Prepare material take-offs and weight control reports
• Review plans and report any design errors or inconsistencies
• Propose design solutions in collaboration with the engineering and drafting leads
• Apply best practices in partnership with the team and Design Office Manager
• Report any quality-related non-conformities to the appropriate systems

Qualifications

Education & Background

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s-level drafting or technical design program starting September 2025

Languages

• Fluent in French (B2 minimum)
• Professional working proficiency in English (B1 minimum)

Technical Skills

• Solid command of Microsoft Office
• Experience with Tekla and/or AutoCAD is a plus

Soft Skills

• Organized, rigorous, and curious, with a creative mindset in your field
• Strong team player with good communication and diplomacy skills
